Dashboards

Create, arrange, and assign tenant and global dashboards.

Overview

The Dashboards page controls which counters, call graphs, and call-history panels appear on the main tenant dashboard, and the order in which they appear.

For the selected tenant, open Configuration > Settings and select Dashboards. To manage dashboards available to every tenant, open Admin > Settings and select Dashboards.

Access and scope

The user requires the Can edit dashboards privilege. Users with Full Menu Configuration receive this privilege automatically. The global view also requires access to Admin Settings.

Create, edit, and assign

TaskHow to do it
CreateSelect New Dashboard, enter a name, arrange the required items, and select Save.
EditSelect the dashboard name or its edit icon. Change its name or layout and select Save.
AssignIn tenant view, select the check icon in the Action column. The Assigned column moves to the selected dashboard immediately.
DeleteSelect one or more editable rows and use the trash icon, then confirm. The global Default dashboard cannot be deleted.

Dashboard selection

A tenant can use one tenant dashboard or one global dashboard. If the assigned dashboard is unavailable or no tenant assignment exists, MiRTA PBX uses the configured global dashboard. If no valid global selection exists, it uses the global Default dashboard.

Deleting an assigned dashboard removes its assignment. The tenant then follows the same fallback rules the next time the main dashboard is opened.

Theme note: The configurable layout is rendered by the standard dashboard template. A theme that supplies its own custom dashboard template controls its own layout and may not display the selected arrangement.

Create and Edit Dashboards

Use Create and Edit Dashboards to choose the dashboard elements and arrange their display order. Open this page with New Dashboard, a dashboard name, or the edit icon on the Dashboards list.

Dashboard name

Name is required and must be unique within the current tenant or global scope. A new dashboard starts with a copy of the global Default layout. The name of the global Default dashboard is read-only, although its layout can be changed.

Arrange the layout

  1. Drag an item from Available items into Dashboard layout.
  2. Drag items inside Dashboard layout to set their display order. The editor keeps each item at its predefined width.
  3. Select the remove icon on a layout item to return it to Available items.
  4. Select Save to store the name and layout, or Cancel to return without saving.

Each element can appear only once. The badge identifies it as a counter, graph, or table. Items flow from left to right and then onto the next row according to their predefined widths.

Save and use the dashboard

Saving updates the dashboard definition but does not assign it to a tenant. Return to the Dashboards list and use the check icon in the Action column to make it active for the selected tenant. The dashboard name then appears beside the tenant name on the main Dashboard page.
